13 Mar EuGen Celebrates 10 Years of Opportunities and Growth for Young People
In 2025, EuGen – European Generation reaches an important milestone: ten years of commitment to creating opportunities for young people, fostering their professional and personal development through international experiences and inclusive pathways.
Our Journey
Established on February 24, 2015, as a non-profit social promotion association, EuGen has always recognized the value of transnational mobility and experiential learning as fundamental tools to prepare young people for the challenges of the labor market and beyond.
In 2015, we launched European Universities for EU Projects, introducing an innovative internship model abroad. In 2017, our efforts led to the creation of EU4EU – European Universities for the EU, a program that established academic mobility within a structured and sustainable network of European universities and enterprises. From the outset, EuGen has also been actively engaged in promoting diversity and inclusion, participating in key Erasmus+ projects focused on youth mobility, refugee integration, the prevention of youth radicalization, and the development of intercultural inclusion initiatives.
Our Achievements
Today, EU4EU stands as a benchmark for university students transitioning into the workforce, with a continuously expanding network of 46 partner universities across Italy, Spain, Portugal, and France. Since 2021, EuGen has taken on a pivotal role as the lead organization of the Italian EU4EU Consortium, overseeing the program’s national and international management and coordination.
Through thousands of scholarships funded by the Erasmus+ Program, we have supported young people in gaining access to employment, even in the face of global challenges such as the pandemic and geopolitical crises. Our mission has been to foster an ecosystem of opportunities that transcends present difficulties, facilitating an ongoing dialogue among students, universities, and businesses.
Each year, we organize training and networking events within the EU4EU network, focusing on key thematic areas. These initiatives contribute to the program’s effectiveness by promoting best practices and ensuring inclusivity. In 2024, we conducted a three-day training program in Brussels for 80 participants, centered on artificial intelligence, reinforcing collaboration between academia and industry to address the challenges of innovation and digital transformation.
The Future of EuGen: Expanding Networks, Enhancing Inclusion, Maximizing Impact
Looking ahead, our objective remains clear: to make the transition from education to employment even more effective and inclusive. To this end, we are committed to:
- Expanding our network by engaging new universities, companies, and stakeholders, including those beyond the EU.
- Enhancing the quality of mobility experiences to better align with the evolving needs of the labor market.
- Strengthening the inclusion of disadvantaged students, ensuring equal opportunities for personal and professional growth.
These first ten years have demonstrated that meaningful change arises from the convergence of people, ideas, and opportunities. We will continue to build bridges, create pathways, and equip young people with the tools they need to realize their full potential.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all those who have believed in EuGen and supported us throughout this journey. The road ahead is promising—our mission continues.
