EU4EU – STAFF MOBILITY IN BRUSSELS

EuGen Announces the Fourth Staff Mobility Meeting in Brussels to Strengthen the Union between Universities and the Workforce in the AI Era

Rome – EuGen – European Generation, as part of the activities of the EU4EU network – European Universities for the European Union, is pleased to announce the fourth Staff Mobility Meeting, co-funded by the Erasmus+ program and dedicated to the evolution of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on the educational and work landscape. Under the High Patronage of the European Parliament, the event will be held in Brussels from May 14 to 17, 2024, hosted by the Lazio Region office in Brussels.

For a decade, the EU4EU network has acted as a vital link between the academic and professional worlds, facilitating Erasmus+ professional internships for university students in European companies. This year’s initiative focuses on the growing importance of digital skills and the adaptation of educational programs to the needs of the job market, with a particular emphasis on AI.

The event agenda includes two days of training for the EU4EU network’s university partners from Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal. This will be followed by a conference day on the theme “AI and Academia: Tuning educational programs with the professional skills of the future”, offering a unique opportunity to reflect on how universities can best prepare students for the evolving job market challenges.

The conference will feature distinguished speakers, representatives from the academic, business, and institutional worlds, who will provide a comprehensive overview of European initiatives related to AI. The event will conclude with a visit to the European institutions, underscoring the commitment to a deeper understanding of European cohesion.

The EU4EU, with the support of EuGen – European Generation, international coordinator and leader of the Italian EU4EU consortium, continues to promote the integration between education and the workforce, valuing the skills of young people and contributing to the development of a united and innovative Europe.
