EU4EU – Kick-off Meeting of the European Project IN KEY

Kick-off Meeting of the European Project IN KEY
(KA2 – Erasmus+)

From 24 to 26 November, the kick-off meeting of the IN KEY – Inclusive Work Experiences for Young Professionals project took place in Zaragoza. Campus Iberus hosted the event at the University of Zaragoza, providing impeccable hospitality and a stimulating environment for three days of productive collaboration.

Coordinated by EuGen – European Generation in collaboration with the EU4EU – European Universities for the EU network, and funded under the Erasmus+ KA2 program, the project will promote access for students with fewer opportunities to high-quality international internships, reducing economic, social, cultural, and physical barriers that may limit participation.

During the kick-off meeting, partners defined work packages, operational methodologies, and the project implementation plan, laying the foundations for effective collaboration over the next two years.

IN KEY: Inclusion and International Mobility

The project focuses on four main areas:

  • Research on the barriers and needs of disadvantaged students in international mobility.
  • Development of support tools for students and universities, including practical guides, mentoring programs, training activities, and an AI-based virtual assistant.
  • Collaboration with European companies to promote inclusive and certified internships through the IN KEY Quality Label.
  • Strengthening digital platforms such as ErasmusIntern.org and the EU4EU portal, making them more accessible and inclusion-oriented.
Coordination and European Partnership

With a total budget of €250,000, EuGen coordinates the project alongside Campus Iberus, garagErasmus Foundation, Erasmus Student Network, Per Formare, and Université de Lille. The collaboration consolidated during the kick-off meeting allowed partners to establish a shared operational framework and strengthen coordination among all participants.

Through IN KEY, EuGen, together with the EU4EU network, reaffirms its commitment to promoting fair and accessible international opportunities, ensuring that students from diverse backgrounds can participate in high-level European internships and develop both professional and academic skills.
